Acquired

The First Impressions exhibition that we spent months organising happened last week and was a great success. We got such positive feedback on the whole show and everyone's work, it was really quite touching. I am posting a few individual images along with a photo of the series presented in the gallery. The series is titled Acquired. It is an ongoing project documenting the lifestyle of my dad who suffered a cardiac arrest in 2005 and has been living with an acquired brain injury since the accident. I wish I started this series earlier, but I hadn't considered the idea until earlier this year. I know however that even though I have started a little late, it's only just the beginning of what could very well be a very dense body of work.

Install of art show DONE

Just came home from spending thirteen hours with my fellow exhibitors in the Project Gallery at uni installing our art show which opens up tomorrow. The work looks great on the walls. It took all day and I can't feel my legs but it was worth it. Our opening night is this Friday, the 19th, so if you live in Brisbane, you should come. It's going to be a good night!

Synapse's Bang on a Beanie event

I did a shoot for a Brain Injury Awareness event at the GPO hotel a week ago. It was burlesque themed and I'd never seen any kind of burlesque before and everyone was having a good time and it was a generally good night. The rest of the photos are on the bang on a beanie facebook page

Melbourne June/July

I recently visited Melbourne again for ten days with my friend Beky and it was a fun little trip. It was nice to be away from Brisbane for a little while. These are some of the photos I took while I was there.
